It's no surprise, then, to hear that Deanna Sutorius, Vanessa Branch, and Rachel Cothey all slept, ate and basically lived in a 2012 Kia Soul for three straight weeks for a chance to make the vehicle theirs! The contest took place at the Halleen Kia dealership, located in North Olmsted, Ohio. The three ladies were only allowed a single five-minute break per hour to use the bathroom. They were also given a fifteen minute break every six hours to stretch their legs, run around, see family, or anything else. We expected to see some dedicated individuals, but no one expected all of the ladies to last this long! Co-owner Eric Halleen says, "I figured they'd last a week or maybe a week and half and it would all be over."¹ Halleen was so impressed by the ladies determination, rather than giving away the Kia Soul to one winner, he awarded all three of the ladies prizes. The women picked a number which corresponded with a briefcase. Two of the briefcases contained a cash prize of $2,500, and one was the Kia Soul! Rachel Cothey was the lucky lady, and walked away with the grand prize.
